●SS490 use: This steel is mainly used in steam turbines as main steam pipes, turning guide vane rings, turbine baffles, baffle outer rings, and various superheater tubes, conduits and corresponding forgings with a pipe wall temperature of ≤570℃.

●SS490 main characteristics: This is a pearlite heat-resistant steel with high organizational stability and thermal strength when used at high temperature for a long time, low overheat sensitivity during heat treatment, and no tendency to temper brittleness; the steel has high plasticity during cold deformation and good machinability; the weldability is general, but thick wall parts need to be preheated to 200-300℃, and stress relief treatment is required after welding. This steel is usually used in high-temperature normalizing and high-temperature tempering conditions, and the use temperature is -40-560℃. This steel is mainly used in steam turbines for main steam pipes with steam parameters up to 540℃, steering guide vane rings, turbine diaphragms, diaphragm outer rings, and various superheater tubes, conduits and corresponding forgings with tube wall temperatures ≤570℃.
