Titanium alloy powder metal injection molding camera bracket

Titanium alloy powder metal injection molding camera bracket

The use of titanium in the camera industry started with shutter curtains. In 1959, Japan Optical Industry Co., Ltd. (Nikko) adopted pure titanium shutter curtains on the Nikon SP and Nikon F. At that time, rubber curtains or composite materials of rubber curtains and cloth and stainless steel foil shutters were used on 35mm curtain shutter cameras. The pure titanium foil shutter curtain of the Nikon F was made by rolling JIS2 grade KS50 titanium plate to 25pm, embossing the middle to maintain strength and prevent scratches, and processing the surface to black, making it a curtain with a thickness of 5<Vm. The sound of using this shutter curtain is particularly small, and it can be used well even in theaters. Later, other brands of cameras, such as Canon CammCF1, 1971, Minolta (X-1, 1973), Olympus OLYMPUS (PEN, 1993 and F3, 2000), Kyocera (RTS2, 1982) also successively adopted pure titanium foil shutter curtains. After 23 years, until 1982, the Nikon FM2 used a titanium honeycomb structure longitudinal shutter to achieve an ultra-high-speed 1/4000S fast shutter. To achieve a shutter speed twice as fast as the previous camera, a large radius was required to reduce the reset of the shutter curtain and improve the fast-resistance strength. Therefore, the Nikon FM2 used a titanium honeycomb on the longitudinal shutter. Later, the titanium shutter was replaced by an aluminum shutter, and the aluminum shutter speed reached 1/8000S.

As early as 1978, the Nikon P2 camera was specially made for the Arctic expedition team of Japan University. The upper and lower covers and the front and rear covers of the camera body were made of titanium stamping parts. It was carried by explorer Naoki Uemura to the cold weather of -40-50t and the effect was good. Because the body is resistant to low temperature, vibration and impact, and is strong and durable, it has been favored by the press. At the end of 1990, the first pocket camera with a full titanium shell was manufactured. In addition, Nikon (FM2/T, F2Ti, F3T, F3P, 35Ti, 28Ti), Minolta (TC-1), Fuji (APS), Kyocera (CoNT-axT2, Gl, G2) also use titanium shells.

In addition, the Nikon5X15T dual-simple microscope also uses a full titanium shell. There is also the Alifex-16mm camera shell for photography in the sea The use of titanium has also achieved good results. Titanium shell cameras have replaced aluminum shell and stainless steel shell cameras, which has solved the corrosion and pressure resistance problems in the deep sea.
